Experienced PR Manager with a background in the commercial sector, required for a 9 month contract by well-known fair-trade produce company.

The CLIENT

Our client makes award winning coffee, chocolate and tea, with a passion for providing fair trade and organic produce.
There is currently a nine month contract opportunity for a Publicity Manager.

The ROLE

The primary focus of this position will be to generate press coverage by creating effective corporate, trade and consumer PR campaigns.

Other key responsibilities will include:

• Being initial point of contact for the Press Office.
• Managing the online newsroom and image galleries.
• Monitoring media and providing daily summaries.
• Managing internal, external and PR agency material requests.
• Organising interview schedules.
• Providing marketing and communications departments with info about relevant PR trends.
• Managing Social Media; blog writing and drafting replies to social media comments.
• Contributing to the management of logistics of Press Events and Conferences, and the writing of award applications.

The CANDIDATE

The successful candidate will have solid PR experience within the commercial sector, either agency or in-house.

They will also have the following:

• Prior experience of managing an agency.
• Prior experience of managing social media campaigns.
• Excellent written communication skills.
• Fantastic organisational and time management capabilities.
• Spanish language – both written and verbal – would be advantageous.

Ultimately, the successful candidate will be results driven, proactive, confident, personable, detail oriented and have excellent verbal and presentation skills.

They must be passionate about our client’s ethos and of what they are trying to achieve in the marketplace as a whole.
